The original strings from the factory remain on this bass and still have plenty of brilliance and life in them and I've set up the string action very low for comfortable and effortless playing. I've polished it down every time I played and stored it in it's included hardcase. This Bass has not been used much at all and I've rehearsed with it on no more than twenty occasions. This is to prevent an unethical dealer from concealing the fact that the instrument was sent to a refurbisher. This is a genuine left handed USA made 2018 Gibson Thunderbird bass guitar that I've owned for about a month, at the time of this listing. What identifies an instrument as being refurbished? All refurbished instruments have a small used stamp on the back of the head stock and are issued a new serial number. However some instruments may need a minor adjustment after shipping due to changes in temperature, humidity, and getting bumped around during shipping. Will I need to set up my instrument when I receive it? All of my instruments have been set-up before shipping, so most are ready to play out of the box. Who refurbishes your instruments? All of my instruments come from the largest and best refurbisher in the country, where any issue found is corrected by a factory trained and authorized luthier.ĭoes a refurbished instrument have the manufacturer warranty? No, any instrument sent to a refurbisher, regardless of the reason it was sent there, no longer carries the manufacturer warranty. Why are instruments sent to a refurbisher? The instrument could be a discontinued model, have a finish imperfection, or need a minor repair. No one will ever see them when you are playing. There are also some spots in the finish that you can only see if you are holding the bass in the light. However when the bass is under the light it is a dark green. The finish is supposed to be trans-black.
